A Brief Biography

I was born and raised in an artistic little town called Winfield, Kansas. Born into a teaching family, education is practically in my blood, but art was something I was drawn to from an early age.. 

My fascination with creating sprouted in our little community art center, learning about ceramics, painting, crafting, baking, all sorts of enriching skills. I have amazing mentors that came from Winfield, who continue to inspire me today.

I moved to Wichita in 2011 to attend Wichita State University and obtain my BFA in Studio Art. I didn't think I'd be in Wichita long, as I wanted to move to a coast, but Wichita grew on me, and now I've made it my home. After several years of trying to work full time and do art on the side, I decided it was time for a change, and education was calling my name. In 2018 I was hired to teach Elementary Art for Wichita Public Schools, and I can't wait to see what lies ahead.
